Point Score Rules and Regulations
1. Eligibility
- You must be a financial member of the ASTC of NSW Inc to participate
- There are FOUR (4) categories;
- Overall Point Score Winner
- Opposite Sex Point score Winner
- Junior Point Score Winner
- Neuter Point Score Winner
To be eligible for Junior Point Score the exhibit must be aged no less than THREE (3) Months and no greater than EIGHTEEN (18) Months. Therefore, the exhibit may only enter classes: BABY, MINOR, PUPPY & JUNIOR.
If the exhibit reaches the age of EIGHTEEN (18) Months during the point score year, the points accumulated will remain on the Junior Point Score Ladder as a “Final Score”. The exhibit will however, continue to earn points on the Overall/Opposite Sex Point Score Ladder.
To be Eligible for the Overall/Opposite Sex Point Score exhibit must be aged no less than THREE (3) months.
An exhibit may compete in both Junior and Overall/Opposite Sex point score simultaneously.
If two exhibits are equal on the point score ladder it shall be considered a draw.
To be Eligible for Neuter Point Score the exhibit must be aged no less than SIX (6) Months.
The exhibit may only enter Neuter Classes.
If two exhibits are equal on the point score ladder it shall be considered a draw.
2. Point Score System- * Junior Point Score
- Class of Breed: ONE (1) point
- Class In Group: FOUR (4) points
- Class In Show: FIVE (5) points
- Opposite Class In Show: THREE (3) points (Specialty Show ONLY) - *The highest score a junior exhibit can earn at any one fixture is TEN (10) points*
Overall/Opposite Sex Point Score
- Class of Breed: ONE (1) point
- Class In Group: TWO (2) points
- Class In Show: THREE (3) points
- Challenge: TWO (2) points
- Reserve Challenge: ONE (1) point
- Best of Breed: THREE (3) points
- Runner-Up Best of Breed: ONE (1) point
- Best In Group: THREE (3) points
- Runner-Up Best In Group: ONE (1) point
- Best In Show: FOUR (4) points
- Runner-Up Best In Show: TWO (2) points
- Opposite Class In Show (Specialty Show ONLY): TWO (2) points
*The Highest Score an exhibit can earn at any one fixture is EIGHTEEN (18) points*
Neuter Point Score
- Class of Breed: ONE (1) point
- Class In Group: FOUR (4) points
- Class In Show: FIVE (5) points
- Challenge: TWO (2) points
- Best Neuter of Breed: THREE (3) points
- Opposite Class in Show (Specialty Show ONLY): THREE (3) points
*The highest any Neuter Exhibit can earn at any one fixture is FIFTEEN (15) points*
3. Awards and Prizes
* The ASTC NSW pointscore will run from February to November each year.*
